Eagle first to qualify by petition

It’s official. The Lee County Supervisor of Elections office confirmed last week that Dane Eagle is the first to qualify by petition for the Florida House of Representatives District 77. He is the only candidate as of Friday who has turned in any petitions to the Supervisor’s office for qualifying. The Florida Division of Elections has also certified that Eagle has obtained enough signatures to have his name placed on the ballot.

Recent campaign reports show Eagle dominating in fundraising as well as petition gathering.  “The campaign’s got a tremendous amount of momentum,” Republican Dane Eagle said, “I thank my volunteers, neighbors, friends and family for making this happen.”

Eagle filed last November when the incumbent announced he was running for Congress. “It is a great day when you go door to door with supporters and talk with fellow conservatives. It makes me work even harder knowing I am not alone and that the overwhelming majority of the voters are like me…conservative Republicans.”
